How Our Lessons Work

The A’o’K lesson structure for Grade 1 to 3 is designed to be short, engaging, and meaningful, with each lesson lasting no longer than 10 minutes. The 17 Lessons are learner-focused and supported by a child-friendly booklet, a clear teacher’s guide, and a short video that brings the concept to life. Throughout the lesson, there are intentional “stopping moments” where the teacher pauses the video or activity to ask questions, encourage movement, sharing, or simple reflection, allowing children to actively participate rather than just listen. The last lesson is a review game that test the learners understanding of what they learned about their emotions. This structure helps young learners stay focused, understand the lesson at their level, and practice emotional and social skills in a fun, interactive way.
