How Our Lessons Work
The A’o’K lesson structure for Grades 10, 11, and 12 is designed as a practical, age-appropriate programme that supports adolescents in developing strong emotional intelligence and life skills. The programme consists of 8 to 9 focused lessons, each lasting 25–30 minutes, making it easy to integrate into the school timetable. Lessons guide learners through understanding and managing emotions, with specific attention to anger management, stress management, and building self-awareness through writing and using positive affirmations. Key topics also include the importance of healthy friendships, developing healthy daily habits, and learning how to build and maintain positive momentum in their personal growth. Each lesson is supported by a learner’s booklet, a clear teacher’s guide, and engaging video content, with planned “stopping moments” that encourage reflection, discussion, and active learner participation. The programme concludes with a fun and meaningful review game that helps learners consolidate what they have learned and reflect on their emotional growth journey.
