How Our Lessons Work

The A’o’K lesson structure for Grade 4 and 5 is designed to be engaging, age-appropriate, and easy to use in a short time frame. At this stage, learners take part in simple personality tests to better understand themselves and others, while also learning about love, relationships, and healthy ways to manage their emotions. Each one of the 17 lessons is presented in a focused 15-minute format and is supported by a learner booklet, a clear teacher’s guide, and a short video. The lessons include intentional “stopping moments” where the video pauses to encourage discussion, reflection, and interactive activities, allowing learners to actively participate, share ideas, and practice emotional skills in a safe and supportive environment. The final lesson is a fun review game that tests learners’ understanding of what they have learned about their emotions, their personality, and their understanding of love.
